30 September 2013

Hello,

So this past week we spent a decent chunk of time looking for new investigators and making plans to teach the new investigators that we are going to have during the week. So, right now we are searching for the next baptisms that we are going to be having. We are really searching for the Spirit and we are trying to use every minute of our time wisely.Something cool that President Jackson taught us is that if we ever want to quadruple or triple our success, all we have to do is learn how to use our time wisely.  Just a thought for the day.

To be honest, I wasn´t exactly wondering how much time I have left, but thanks for letting me know.

I am excited for General Conference, though I wish that we could see all of the sessions. The branch is only going to be showing 3 of the sessions in the chapel here. (*Due to the time difference from UT to Spain.)

Although there are three companionships here, we don´t divide the branch geographically. It is the entire city, so all the missionaries travel to whichever part of the city. There are no boundaries or divided areas.

I went looking today a little bit to find something to buy for Christmas gifts, I haven´t found anything yet though. I´ll keep looking.

I am in the same boat as Elder Dougher. (*Not going to elaborate on his "intestinal distress")

So thanks for everything, right now things are going good, we are just looking for more awesome people and for some more miracles right now.

So until next week,

Elder Johnson

  1. Great new background on the blog! So sorry to hear Elder Johnson is sick now too! Oh No! Sounds like it might be making the rounds with those poor guys. Hope he is feeling better soon. I am so grateful for all the things he has been teaching Elder Groves these past few weeks. Your son is a great missionary. I bet you are so excited to get him home in a few months!

  2. Thank you, Amy. I finally found a picture of Vigo that worked! I was sad to hear that he is sick, too,but it looks like those guys keep plugging along anyway. We told him we were making a paper chain to count down since he has less than 100 days. He would love to stay and serve forever. Since we moved from OK to MA right before his mission, it's going to be a little rougher to return since even the house isn't really "home" to him.

  3. So true about them still plugging along. They sound so diligent and filled with faith. I love to hear that from them each week. Wow, less than a 100 days! So exciting! I think it is awesome that he has kept such a good focus and loved serving so much that he would want to keep doing it forever. Elder Groves keeps mentioning to me how impressed he is with that (especially since he is in kind of a rut with a homesick phase, it helps give him a positive perspective). Wow that will be different going home to a new home, but in the end I guess it's really the family that makes it home anyway.
